GPC writes a new artist profile on Raf Antonio. Raf Antonio is a Latinx multi-disciplinary artist. Through personal story telling in portrait photography and narrative writing, Raf explores empowerment, feminised male beauty and less euro-centric Latin American beauty.
Nemo Martin is a writer for theatre, television and digital media. They are currently developing a podcast and scripts with a centre on representing transgender stories.
GPC as a part of Project #3: Artist Profiles, wanted to showcase Nemo Martin's work and their approach to writing.
Grey Paper Crane began 2.5 years ago with the staging of a play called Mad Life Imagined. Ever since, we've carried out organizational experiments to see what was needed by this group.
What project does the artistic community need and how do we respond to need?
In this next year, GPC will approach our work in a journalistic and curatorial approach, to highlight and celebrate intersectional artists and the work they make. Evermore, we will think of this big question...^
In January last year we mentioned creating an artist database and now we're well on our way! Click to see our artist database. Which is a growing list of intersectional artists we want to connect with each other and provide info for you.
And on a monthly basis we write an in depth profile on 1-2 artists from the database. We're calling it Project #3: Artist Profiles. click here to read them.
If you know someone you think we should include, please contact us.

Man Friday: A ragtag group of plumbers-cum-spies find they’re fixing more than sinks!
This hilarious web series will be an exciting new project for GPC. And we're looking to cast BAME/POC and LGBTQAI leading roles!
Please see the casting call here.
Evelyn (undercover agent) worries about friend Friday (ex-hacker)’s sudden and serious introversion. Evelyn tries to heal her friend by re-starting their adolescent pet business, named ‘Man Friday: anything and everything’. She hires Matt (ex-field op) in the process to be Friday's avatar in their handyman service. Though useless, Matt finds a calling caring for each client's emotional needs. The three bond over the webseries, despite Evelyn’s shifty actions, Friday’s mysterious PTSD and Matt’s absolute(ly adorable) cluelessness, and the fact that none of them know the others are spies.
This comedy/action webseries draws on the absurdist humour of Spy, but with elements of the Rosemary & Thyme cosy mystery and feel-good warmth of New Girl.

GREY PAPER CRANE NETWORK
GPC has gone through some major restructuring, now called Grey Paper Crane Network, and lead with come-as-you-go artistic leaders! This is a new and experimental approach to leadership knowing that individual perspective informs what is best for a network like ours. Click here to check out our updated about page!
We hope in the time coming to connect artists through feature articles, through a database of artists for equal representation, and to host online events to connect artists with other artists. Because of the moving nature of the network, we try to do most of our work online so that it can be accessed from different regions.
However, once in a while we may be able to pull the resources to produce a project or host an in-person event of our own. This is all dependent on the current artistic leaders.
For the year 2017, we are excited to announce we will be working to produce a webseries with Nemo Martin, a up-and-coming writer and game maker! We will continually update you about this GPC Project #2!
Thanks for listening!
